Modalities of Operation

An Electrolysis machine from the 80’s — the light symbolizes the thermolysis (heat produced by electricity). This intensity is “flash thermolysis”. Though it has benefits, it does not remove hair permanently and it can be very damaging to the collagen within skin overtime.
I use the most up-to-date model of the Elegance+ machine from the brand Clareblend.
I would offer flash thermolysis only in certain cases.

Pure Galvanic — Pure galvanic treatment is the least skin reactive option and the modality that guarantees permanent hair removal. The sodium hydroxide that chemically decomposes a hair follicle is only achieved through this modality. This is the modality in which electrolysis was birthed from.

Blend —Blend is a modality that combines the swiftness of low-level thermolysis and permanence of pure galvanic to give better options for treatment areas. Though this is a quicker modality to work with, caution is taken with each individual to ensure pigmentation does not occur due to the thermolysis.

Flash Thermolysis — Flash thermolysis is labeled as such because of the swiftness it removes hair from a follicle. This method is a wonderful starting point for larger areas that need to be cleared, however the skin will have reactions to this method as it’s using high heat to melt the hair from the sheath. Most reactions from this method go away in time, however it’s not guaranteed that pigmentation would go away. Solely using flash thermolysis in place of low-level thermolysis with galvanic (blend modality) offers less opportunity for the hair follicles to be permanently destroyed, though there is some level of permanence that happens during treatment.
