History of Electrolysis
In 1875, Dr. Charles E. Michel performed pure galvanic electrolysis to remove ingrown eyelashes from patients. This tedious process took 1-3 minutes per insertion and heeded lasting results.
Since it’s inception, electrolysis has had many years to develop into multiple branches. Pure galvanic, blend and aspects of thermolysis are the only FDA proven methods to permanently remove hair.
There has been experimentation with other methods such as laser hair removal or religious waxing, though these methods merely stunt the growth of hair follicles and cause frequent ingrown hairs.
